How come its so hard for gay and lesbian couples to adopt children whom need a family?

Wouldn't a home setting be better than a orphanage? How come its so hard for gay and lesbian couples to adopt children whom need a family?
its hard for ANYONE to adopt children. adoption is a long a complicated process- involving background checks, tax history, job history, all sorts of stuff.........How come its so hard for gay and lesbian couples to adopt children whom need a family?
theres too much homophobia, stupid people will think that they will rape the kids or abuse them just because of their orentation.
Some people think that gay and lesbian couples aren't suitable parents but that's not true. Adoption agencies might be afraid the parents sexual orientation might rub off on the kid.
it,s because they don,t what the kid to think it,s normal to have two mom,s or two dad, so the kid can see it,s normal to have a mom and a dad.so the kid will not be bi, or gay when they grow up,
In my opinion, yes, as long as the couple has a healthy relationship.

Why is it difficult? Because the idea of same-sex couples raising children is hard for some people to understand. Keep in mind we are a society built on religious values, and it'll take a while to get past that.
