See, I have this vision in my head with me and my future family. Six to eight kids, alternating boy, girl, boy, girl.
I was thinking of naming them after couples. Some that I've thought of are:
Romeo
Juliet
Erik
Christine (or Raoul/Christine)
Rachel
Jacob (or Leah/Jacob)
Samson
Delilah
d'Artagnan
ConstanceIs it weird (or a bad idea) to name your kids after couples?
i don't think it's bad, but it is kind of weird. some of the names are just very noticeable for lack of a better work. i mean most people wouldn't think anything of Erik and Christine or Rachel and Jacob (or Leah). Samson and Delilah wouldn't even be too bad. Romeo and Juliet, though? seriously? i love the name juliet. romeo is alright, but i could never name my child that. i especially wouldn't name sibling like that. Raoul is an odd enough name that people will recognize it and then it will seem kind of strange to have a sister named christine. d'Artagnan and constance - just, no. constance is pretty, though. it's a cute idea in general and if that's what you want then go for it. i just don't think i would do it.Is it weird (or a bad idea) to name your kids after couples?
Go for naming them after less publicized couples if that what you want - romeo and juliet would be going to far...
Samson delilah is cute
This has always weirded me out. For example, I know I will eventually have to choose between the names Imriel and Sidonie (Kushiel's Legacy), Lily and James (Harry Potter), and others.
I think it is weird.
It sounds really weird considering the fact that the children are related. Especially Romeo and Juliet. But this is just my opinion.
Some kids might make fun of it later on saying that they're lovers or something. But I don't think it's too bad. It also depends on what the names are. Romeo %26amp; Juliet is pretty obvious but Rachel %26amp; Jacob or Leah %26amp; Jacob or Erik %26amp; Christine aren't. So I think it depends on the names.
some names I wouldn't think twice about: Rachel and Jacob or Erik and Christine.
But, ones like Samson and Delilah or Romeo and Juliet are a bit much. The names themselves are a bit more unusual so the connection is more obvious. Plus, it's a little weird to think that brother and sister names are from a romantic couple...not that you are encouraging incest, but I'm sure your kids won't be too happy about it.

Kinda interesting way to approach it. The only thing is that you can't be guaranteed of boy girl boy girl
no not really but kinda
