How many arrangements are possible if no one is sitting beside his or her partner (assume the order must go ``boy-girl-boy-girl...``) Please explainFour couples are sitting along one side of a table?
4 boys, 4 girls, could trade for 3 others than their partner.

Then each new couple could sit one of 4 places.
