In Australia is it legal or illegal for gay and lesbian couples to use IVF as means of having a baby?
I believe it is a State by State decision. In my state of Victoria: Current laws restrict ';socially infertile'; women - single women and lesbians - from IVF unless they are clinically infertile or have a genetic abnormality that can be transmitted to the child. Generally, as the demand is so high, even if you fitted the category of clinically infertile, you would be on the bottom of the list past all married couples, effectively excluded.
